Our Breakaway robot (Arnold O. 3) was the featured speaker accompanied by our mentoring team
at a Girl Scout daycamp with over 500 K-12 participants. Space was the theme of the day and
Arnold was used as an example of what a real robot looks like. Examples of NASA's interplanetary
exploration programs such as Cassini and Galileo were highlighted and compared to Arnold. Careers
in engineering and sciences were also discussed. Much to the delight of the younder Girl Scouts, they
discovered that several of the high school Girl Scouts in leadership positions at camp had been
key team members in building our Breakaway robot.
