Robotics on the BHS Campus

Beckman High School Prom Assembly
Campus awareness of the robotics program was increased significantly by participating in the Alice in Wonderland prom assembly. The Breakaway robot played the part of the White Rabbit climbing into the rabbit hole by using the hanging mechanism designed for the Breakaway end game. Numerous students, teachers, and administrators stayed after the assembly to ask questions about the robot and the program.

Eighth Grade Parent Night
Incoming 8th grade students and their families were invited to a special nighttime information assembly. Due to the success of our Breakaway robot at the Los Angeles and Las Vegas Regional competitions, the Principal decided to feature the robot as an example of the unique programs that Beckman offers.

Beckman High School Patriot Pancake Breakfast
Our Breakaway robot was featured at the event where incoming 8th grade, current Beckman students and families and community members could visit campus and learn about the sports programs at Beckman. Arnold was a hit with the younger crowd as they drove him around the Jazz Band and cheerleader demonstrations. The Beckman Robotics Team is a varsity sport and team members can earn a Beckman varsity letter with significant participation in the program.
