We are always looking for adults, college engineering students and FIRST alumni to join our Robotics team.
What will you be doing? Helping students learn in a hands on environment how to:
• problem solve;
• work on a "real world" time schedule to deliver a finished product;
• trouble shoot;
• use tools from common hand tools to table saws;
• construction;
• develop software;
• use Autodesk CAD software (critical need).
Background in mechanical and/or electrical engineering, pneumatic controls, software development in Java, Autodesk CAD software, construction, physics or robotics are all areas of expertise we would love for our team.
Before you say "oh I don't have enough time to help!" The robotics build season is from early January through March. Your time commitment can be a few hours a week or more - whatever you have time to commit to. Workshop hours are usually in the late afternoon to early evening on weekdays and throughout the day on weekends. We welcome all donations of people's time. We truly understand how valuable time is.
